Hi friends, so today I am going to share a speech.
Good morning respected Chairman sir, principal madam, teachers and all my dear friends. I am Sofia Naaz from class 4th - A. Today, I would like to speak a few words about Diwali.
Diwali is a festival of lights. It is celebrated all over India with great enthusiasm and happiness .
Diwali is celebrated on Amavasya of kartik month every year. It is celebrated as a mark of victory of Lord Rama over the devil Ravana and his return to Ayodhya after 14 years of exile. Diwali is also known as 'Deepawali' which means 'Row of lighted lamps'.
During this festival people worship Goddess Laxmi and Lord Ganesha in the evening hours. People light up their houses with diyas. They Also decorate their houses and make colourful Rangolis in front of the house. Children burst fire crackers and enjoy with their friends and family..
Various sweet dishes are prepared on this occasion. People exchange gifts with relatives and friends.
Diwali is the most loved festival, and we all enjoy it very much.
Finally, I would like to request everyone to celebrate Diwali with lights and not sound. Lanterns and diyas are the best options. We should Celebrate environment friendly Diwali.
